This adjustment, effective from January 1, 2026, will result in arrears for previous months being credited to both employees and pensioners. Pensioners will also witness a corresponding rise in Dearness Relief (DR), augmenting their forthcoming payouts. This increment, following a predetermined formula linked to inflation, was anticipated by experts.
