Ottawa Senators goalie Linus Ullmark has been given permission to take time off for personal reasons, the team revealed on Sunday. The announcement came from Steve Staios, the team’s president of hockey operations and general manager, who expressed the organization’s full support for Ullmark during this period. Staios also noted that out of respect for Ullmark, no further details would be disclosed.
Ullmark, aged 32, has recorded 14 victories in 28 games this season, maintaining a 2.95 goals against average and an .881 save percentage. His most recent game was on Saturday, where he faced the Toronto Maple Leafs and conceded four goals on 14 shots in a 7-5 defeat.
The Senators are scheduled to play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday as they navigate Ullmark’s absence.
