A 13-year-old boy in Nova Scotia has tragically passed away after being attacked by three dogs, prompting a community to grieve his loss. The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education expressed sorrow over the loss, highlighting the impact on students and offering support at the school. The incident occurred on Upper Sandy Cove Road in Welshtown, N.S., where the boy was cycling when the large-breed dogs attacked him just after 5 p.m. on Saturday. He was airlifted to a Halifax hospital by LifeFlight helicopter but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the dogs responsible for the attack were euthanized by a veterinarian. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) stated that their investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at the moment.
