Canadian freestyle skier Marion Thénault secured a silver medal at a World Cup aerials event held in her home country. Thénault clinched the second spot in the women’s competition with an impressive score of 81.78 points. American Winter Vinecki outperformed the competition with a score of 93.58, while Emma Weiss from Germany claimed the third position with 79.33 points.

Hailing from Sherbrooke, located approximately 250 kilometers south of Lac-Beauport, Thénault celebrated her fourth medal of the World Cup season, including two silver and two bronze accolades. Notably, she was the sole Canadian athlete to advance to the women’s final round.

In the men’s competition, Ukraine’s Dmytro Kotovskyi clinched the gold medal, followed by China’s Sun Jiaxu and Quinn Dehlinger from the United States. Miha Fontaine represented Canada well, finishing in eighth place.
