Oppo has unveiled the official launch date for its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, which is set to be released on April 21. Alongside it, the Oppo Find X9s is also expected to make its debut, boasting dual 200-megapixel cameras, following the recent launch of the Vivo X300 Ultra. Both new smartphones will feature camera systems supported by Hasselblad and will join the existing Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro models introduced last year.
Pete Lau, Oppo’s Chief Product Officer, teased the Find X9 Ultra on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that the smartphone will have a global launch. This marks the first global unveiling for Oppo’s X-lineup Ultra devices.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is generating excitement primarily due to its camera setup, rumored to include a quad-camera configuration. Reports suggest the smartphone will sport a 200-megapixel main camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom capability, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor.
Although specific details about the device have not been officially disclosed, leaks indicate that the smartphone might feature a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a battery capacity exceeding 7,000mAh.
Regarding the Find X9s, Oppo has confirmed that it will feature dual 200-megapixel cameras for both the primary and telephoto lenses. Expected to be a compact device, it could come with a 6.32-inch OLED display and be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, supported by a nearly 7,000mAh battery.
Oppo is gearing up to host a launch event in China on April 1, where it will introduce the latest K15 Pro series. This lineup is anticipated to include two models: the Oppo K15 Pro and the Oppo K15 Pro Plus.
In addition to the smartphones, the event is expected to showcase a variety of new products, including the Oppo Watch X3 Mini and the Oppo Enco Clip 2. Oppo has also revealed that the Enco Clip 2 will be fine-tuned in collaboration with the Danish audio brand Dynaudio, emphasizing an enhanced audio experience.
