NationalAAP Spokesperson Alleges Secret BJP Deal in Raids

A spokesperson for the Aam Aadmi Party, Priyanka Kakkar, has raised concerns about a hidden agreement between senior BJP figures and party MP Raghav Chadha, connecting it to the recent Enforcement Directorate raids on Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal and the reported upgrade of Chadha’s security detail.

Kakkar asserted that there was a meeting between top BJP officials and Raghav Chadha where it was decided that Chadha would receive enhanced security and that raids would be conducted at Mittal’s premises. She emphasized that these events were not coincidental but part of a broader political arrangement.

Questioning the timing of the actions, Kakkar criticized the raid on Mittal just before the Punjab elections. She stated that the security provided to Chadha was at his request, deeming the situation unfortunate.

The AAP spokesperson highlighted that the security discussions for Chadha coincided with the raids on Mittal, suggesting a connection between the two events. Kakkar also criticized Chadha for allegedly betraying the party that supported his political rise.

In response to the situation, Kakkar affirmed that the AAP would not be intimidated by such tactics, stating that the party was prepared to face challenges during the elections. She further alleged that Chadha had aligned with the BJP’s political strategies.

The controversy arose when the Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at locations associated with AAP MP Ashok Mittal under the Foreign Exchange Management Act. Mittal, a business owner and educator, was recently appointed AAP’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, succeeding Raghav Chadha.

Political reactions followed, with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann condemning the raids as part of the BJP’s election tactics. AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of misusing government agencies for political gains.

Additionally, various political figures engaged in a war of words, with accusations of corruption and misuse of power being exchanged between the parties involved.
