Richmond RCMP disclosed that the pilot’s arrest followed a concerning report involving a crew member from the airline. Airport representatives mentioned that the pilot was getting ready for Air India’s routine daily flight from Vancouver to Delhi. Although the flight encountered delays, it eventually departed safely after several hours.
Law enforcement confirmed that an ongoing investigation is in progress, with no additional details available for release at this time. Air India has not provided any immediate comments in response to inquiries.
