Although she has now regained consciousness, her recovery is progressing slowly. The latest statement, released on Monday, indicated that while her condition is improving, her medical team anticipates a gradual recovery. Despite the setback, doctors are optimistic about her prospects for a full recovery, emphasizing that it will require time and patience.
Due to her health situation, Tyler has had to cancel or reschedule her upcoming shows scheduled until August. However, there is hope that the performances planned for the autumn will proceed as scheduled. The 75-year-old artist is renowned for her iconic 1980s power ballad “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” which continues to captivate audiences during celestial events like solar and lunar eclipses.
Originally hailing from Wales and with a background as a coal miner’s daughter, Tyler achieved early success with the 1978 hit “It’s a Heartache” before cementing her place in music history with “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” a song penned by Jim Steinman, famed for his work with Meat Loaf.
