According to the statement posted on his Instagram page, Brendon passed away peacefully in his sleep due to natural causes. Brendon portrayed the character of Xander Harris, a quirky and witty friend of the slayer, on “Buffy,” a groundbreaking teen drama set in the fictional town of Sunnydale, California. His on-screen presence spanned the show’s entire duration from 1997 to 2003. Alyson Hannigan, who played Willow Rosenberg, Xander’s close friend on the series, expressed her condolences for Brendon, referring to him affectionately as “My sweet Nicky.”
Apart from his iconic role on “Buffy,” Brendon also appeared in the television series “Criminal Minds” as Kevin Lynch, a technical analyst for the FBI, from 2007 to 2014.
