WorldIran Unveils Elite Commandos in Warning to US

In the midst of increasing speculation about a potential US ground incursion into Iran, the Iranian Army has unveiled a cautionary video showcasing its elite commandos and delivering a direct warning to Washington against any such military action.

The video, disseminated by Iranian state-affiliated channels, exhibits heavily armed commandos engaging in combat exercises and strategic maneuvers, coupled with a bold message directed at American troops: “Approach us, we are prepared for your arrival.”

This development coincides with US President Donald Trump’s threats to mobilize ground forces to capture vital oil facilities on Iran’s Kharg Island, as the ongoing Middle East conflict enters its second month without abating.

Iranian military and political figures have persistently advised Washington against initiating such a move, emphasizing that any invasion would be fiercely resisted. Concurrently, thousands of US troops from the esteemed 82nd Airborne Division have started arriving in the region, broadening America’s military capabilities, while reports suggest the White House has set an April 6 ultimatum for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

As the conflict reached its 30-day mark on Monday, Iranian authorities reiterated their resolve to retaliate forcefully in the event of a ground invasion. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf asserted, “The adversary publicly signals negotiation, but behind the scenes, it schemes a ground assault.”

Ghalibaf further stated that Iranian forces are eagerly anticipating the arrival of American soldiers on the ground to unleash a barrage of fire upon them. Additionally, Tehran has issued threats to indefinitely penalize US regional allies should the conflict escalate further, while Washington continues its targeting of sites in Gulf nations hosting American military installations.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Gulf nations led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are encouraging President Trump to prolong the military campaign, arguing that Tehran has not been sufficiently debilitated. Officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain have allegedly conveyed in private discussions their desire for the operation to persist until there are notable changes in Iran’s leadership or a significant shift in its conduct. Conversely, Qatar has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, deeming further escalation detrimental to all parties involved.
