OnePlus is preparing to unveil the Nord 6 in India on April 7, generating excitement with teasers. The company updated a microsite on Amazon, hinting at a massive 9,000mAh battery. Recently, OnePlus officially revealed the camera specifications for the Nord 6. There are rumors suggesting that OnePlus might launch two additional smartphones in May, namely the OnePlus Nord CE 6 and the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite.
The camera details for the Nord 6 were shared by OnePlus through X (previously known as Twitter). The smartphone will boast a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA main sensor with OIS, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it will sport a 32-megapixel punch-hole camera. Notably, the Nord 5 predecessor had a 50-megapixel front camera, indicating a decrease in selfie camera resolution. The device will support 4K video recording at 60fps with its primary rear camera.
The OnePlus Nord 6 will feature a flat 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, offering up to 1,800 nits peak brightness, 2 nits minimum brightness, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. It will also include Aqua Touch 2.0 for touch responsiveness even with wet fingers.
Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the smartphone will come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage capacity.
The Nord 6 will house a massive 9,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support and 27W reverse wired charging capability.
As per tipster Debayan Roy, the OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to be priced above Rs 35,000 in India, marking a noticeable increase from previous Nord models. The OnePlus Nord 5 was launched at Rs 31,999, while the OnePlus Nord 4 and OnePlus Nord 3 had debut prices of Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively. Given the escalating component costs and enhanced hardware, it seems improbable for the Nord 6 to fall back to the Rs 30,000 price range.
