The Ottawa Charge extended their winning streak to five games with a 4-2 victory over the Vancouver Goldeneyes. Anna Meixner, Ronja Savolainen, Brianne Jenner, and Rebecca Leslie found the back of the net for Ottawa, while Gwyneth Philips made 23 saves in goal. Vancouver’s goals came from Sophie Jaques and Michelle Karvinen, with Kristen Campbell stopping 23 shots.

Savolainen opened the scoring in the first period after a Peyton Hemp shot led to a rebound goal at 10:12. Meixner increased Ottawa’s lead to 2-0 in the third period by beating Campbell on the glove side at 5:07. Vancouver responded with Jaques scoring at 11:13, but Jenner’s empty-net goal at 18:35 sealed the win for Ottawa, despite Karvinen scoring shortly after. Leslie added another empty-net goal with 24 seconds left in the game.

The Goldeneyes have struggled on the road this season, with only one win in five games. The Charge will face the Boston Fleet in Halifax next, while the Goldeneyes will play against the Victoire in Montreal.
