In a firm statement aimed at upholding industrial peace following recent worker protests in Noida, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the importance of preventing external interference in the affairs of corporate entities and manufacturing units. Addressing the audience at the Tata Motors Lucknow facility, the Chief Minister underlined that the stability of industries is pivotal for Uttar Pradesh’s evolution into a prominent global manufacturing center.
Yogi Adityanath’s remarks followed the approval of an interim wage hike, featuring a 21% raise for laborers in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes Noida. Highlighting the state’s industrial advancements at the Lucknow plant, where he launched 1 million vehicles, including a state-of-the-art electric bus with a 200 km range, Adityanath issued a strong warning against disruptive elements. He emphasized that shielding an organization’s strength necessitates resisting external influences.
“Those who disrupt are plentiful, but those who construct are scarce,” he cautioned. “External interference in the internal affairs of any group or plant must be strictly prohibited under all circumstances.” Adityanath encouraged employees to view their workplaces as a family, advocating for unity and trust to safeguard the industrial ecosystem from external disturbances. He stressed that success is rooted in teamwork, appreciation, and integrity, rather than yielding to external pressures.
Discussing the advancements under the “double-engine” governance model in Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath noted the state’s previous lack of distinctiveness due to inadequate connectivity and security issues. “Differentiating between roads and potholes was a challenge, and investors were reluctant to invest,” remarked the Chief Minister. However, he highlighted the significant transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with improved law enforcement and modern infrastructure creating a robust foundation for progress.
Adityanath also mentioned that Uttar Pradesh currently boasts approximately 55% of the nation’s expressways, a figure set to increase to 60% following the inauguration of the Ganga Expressway later this month.
