Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent communication between Russia and India, urging for ongoing and structured engagement at various levels. Rudenko expressed optimism about the possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Russia later this year in response to President Vladimir Putin’s invitation. Additionally, Rudenko highlighted that Moscow is set to host the Russian-Indian Summit this year, following President Putin’s visit to India in December 2025. During the summit, Modi and Putin discussed strategies to enhance economic cooperation, aiming to boost annual trade to USD 100 billion by 2030. The longstanding partnership between Moscow and New Delhi has seen collaborations across multiple sectors, solidifying their special privileged strategic relationship.
