With the conclusion of the fiscal year on March 31, the central government has implemented a reorganization in the top administrative ranks. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of significant appointments spanning various ministries and departments.
Nivedita Shukla Verma, a senior IAS officer, has been designated as the Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, with an additional responsibility for the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare.
Chanchal Kumar has been appointed as the Secretary of Information and Broadcasting. Rohit Kansal is set to assume the role of Secretary of Rural Development, while Narendra Bhooshan will serve as the Secretary of Land Resources within the same ministry.
Chandra Sekhar Kumar has been named the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rainfed Area Authority with the status of Secretary. Sanjay Jaju will hold the position of Secretary of Development of North Eastern Region, and Srivatsa Krishna has been designated as the Secretary of Minority Affairs.
Tejveer Singh will take on the role of Secretary in the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals. Sanjay Lohiya has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, with the title equivalent to Secretary.
Bharat Harbanslal Khera will serve as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with the status of Secretary, while Abhishek Singh has been assigned as the Director General of the National Testing Agency with the rank of Secretary.
Bhuvnesh Kumar has been chosen to be the Secretary of Tourism. All these appointments have received the approval of the ACC.
