India has achieved a remarkable milestone in nuclear technology that countries like the United States and France have struggled to accomplish despite significant investments. On April 6, the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu successfully initiated its first criticality, marking the commencement of a self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction. This achievement is not just a scientific breakthrough but a significant feat that every Indian should take pride in, with vast benefits anticipated for millions of citizens.
