Melania Trump Denies Epstein Connections in Rare Statement

WorldMelania Trump Denies Epstein Connections in Rare Statement

US First Lady Melania Trump has refuted allegations connecting her to Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced financier, stating they are false and defamatory. Melania Trump emphasized in a rare public statement from the White House that she had no relationship with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, with whom her interactions were limited to casual correspondence.

She clarified that any encounters with Epstein or Maxwell were brief and in social settings, denying being friends with Epstein. Melania Trump dismissed claims of a deeper connection, highlighting that her name has never been linked to court records related to the case.

Melania Trump also disputed a report by author Michael Wolff suggesting that Epstein introduced her to Donald Trump. Epstein, who faced sex trafficking charges involving minors in 2019 and died in jail later that year in what was ruled a suicide, remains a topic of public interest.

Addressing misinformation on social media, Melania Trump warned of fake images and statements being used to distort her image, urging the public to be vigilant about believing such fabrications. She indicated ongoing legal actions against individuals and entities spreading false information, noting retractions and apologies issued.

Moreover, Melania Trump called for allowing testimony from Epstein’s victims in Congress and preserving their stories in official records, emphasizing the importance of giving every woman the opportunity to share her experience.
