“Apple Expanding ‘Ultra’ Lineup with Foldable iPhone & MacBook”

Technology"Apple Expanding 'Ultra' Lineup with Foldable iPhone & MacBook"

Apple is in the process of developing new products under its “Ultra” branding, expanding from the Apple Watch and high-end chips to include a foldable iPhone and a novel MacBook. The foldable iPhone, potentially named “iPhone Ultra,” is positioned as a premium offering above the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. It is expected to feature a book-style design with a small outer display and a larger inner screen, possibly around 7.8 inches unfolded. Apple aims to enhance durability and minimize display creases in this innovative device.

The device may run a customized version of iOS tailored for the larger screen, potentially incorporating multitasking features akin to iPad functionalities. Internally, the iPhone Ultra is speculated to house Apple’s A20 Pro chip, a dual rear camera setup, a significant 5,500mAh battery, and a titanium-aluminum build. Notably, it may replace Face ID with Touch ID integrated into the power button due to space limitations in the foldable design.

In parallel, Apple is rumored to be working on a MacBook Ultra featuring an OLED touchscreen, a redesigned chassis, and a touch-enabled display. This model could introduce cellular connectivity via the C2 modem, setting it apart from existing MacBook models. The exact timeline for these releases is uncertain, with potential delays for the MacBook Ultra’s launch to the first half of 2027 due to supply chain constraints. However, the foldable iPhone is anticipated to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September.
