National"Bihar's New CM Samrat Choudhary Issues Key Directives for Efficient Governance"

Newly appointed Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary wasted no time in asserting his authority by issuing five key directives to officials during his inaugural meeting at the Secretariat shortly after being sworn in. Choudhary, the first BJP Chief Minister in Bihar, emphasized the need for efficient governance, urging officials to expedite processes and address public grievances promptly.

Expressing his determination to begin working immediately, Choudhary stated that Bihar would adhere to the governance model followed by Prime Minister Modi and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In his initial official review, Choudhary outlined a five-point agenda for officials, including the acceleration of problem-solving for the public, strict enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, and a directive to avoid delays at all levels of government offices.

These directives highlight a strong focus on improving governance delivery and administrative effectiveness during a pivotal time for the state’s political landscape. Choudhary reiterated his commitment to continuing the development and governance approach established by Modi and Kumar, signaling a seamless transition despite the upcoming Assembly elections and heightened expectations.

At 57 years old, Choudhary assumed office as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar, succeeding Nitish Kumar, who recently resigned and moved to the Rajya Sabha. The swearing-in ceremony also saw two JD(U) leaders, Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary, taking oaths as deputy chief ministers, indicating a shift in the power dynamics within the alliance.

In response to Choudhary’s appointment, Prime Minister Modi lauded his leadership qualities and predicted a positive impact on Bihar’s development trajectory. JD(U) leaders and NDA allies echoed similar sentiments, expressing confidence in Choudhary’s ability to uphold the development agenda initiated by Nitish Kumar.

While the overall reception has been positive, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav struck a critical tone, questioning the legitimacy of Choudhary’s appointment and calling for a focus on addressing Bihar’s developmental challenges. The political landscape in Bihar is evolving with Choudhary’s swift actions setting the tone for his administration’s priorities and approach.
