Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis criticized Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Sunday, alleging that there is a growing movement within the Congress to remove him due to his inability to secure electoral victories for the party. Fadnavis made these remarks while addressing the media during an event in Nagpur, suggesting that Gandhi is primarily focused on self-preservation and safeguarding his leadership position amidst a series of defeats.
Earlier in the day, Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the RSS-BJP, accusing them of aiming to undermine the Constitution to prevent equal rights for all individuals in India. He emphasized the pivotal role of the Constitution in shaping the country and accused those aligned with the RSS-BJP ideology of seeking to undermine its principles.
Fadnavis further asserted that the Congress is contemplating Gandhi’s removal due to his failure to deliver electoral success, suggesting that Gandhi’s recent statements were a strategic ploy to divert attention from internal party conflicts.
