Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine clinched the bronze medal in the men’s division during a World Cup aerials event held on Monday. Hailing from Magog, Quebec, Fontaine secured his inaugural World Cup medal with a notable score of 107.73. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, the 22-year-old narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth on the event’s second day.

The gold and silver medals in the men’s competition were claimed by Chinese skiers. Li Xinpeng attained the gold with an impressive score of 137.19, outscoring Wang Xindi by 25.19 points. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, landed in fifth place with a score of 104.49.

On the women’s side, Kalia Kuhn from the United States secured the gold medal with a score of 105.6. China’s Xu Mengtao followed closely with 105.17 points, while Australia’s Danielle Scott took third place with a score of 85.65. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport emerged as the top Canadian in seventh place.
