OnePlus has unveiled the latest additions to its smartphone lineup with the introduction of the OnePlus Nord 6 on the 7th of this month. Expanding the Nord 6 series, the company will launch two new models on May 7 — the OnePlus Nord CE6 and the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite. These upcoming devices are expected to offer more budget-friendly options compared to the Nord 6 and will be available in various color choices. The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite marks its return after two years, taking over from the Nord CE4 Lite, and will be sold through Amazon.
The OnePlus Nord CE6 boasts a 6.78-inch screen with 1.5K resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, it incorporates Touch Reflex technology to enhance gaming performance. The device promises gameplay at up to 144 FPS and features a responsive 3200Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, it includes a large vapour chamber with a cooling area exceeding 33,000 mm to efficiently manage heat.
For uninterrupted usage, the smartphone houses a substantial 8,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging capabilities. OnePlus asserts that a single charge can last over 2.5 days, with the battery designed to maintain up to 80% of its health even after six years of usage.
In terms of durability, the OnePlus Nord CE6 offers robust water and dust resistance with multiple IP ratings, including IP66, IP68, and IP69, along with top-tier IP69K protection. The device has undergone stringent testing to meet MIL-STD-810H standards.
Color-wise, the OnePlus Nord CE6 will be available in three distinct options: Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite will come in black and light green color variants. It features a pill-shaped vertical camera module with three camera cutouts. The device will be powered by a massive 7,000mAh battery and the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, along with a 144Hz display. It is expected to deliver up to two days of battery life and retain battery health for up to six years. More details regarding pricing, availability, and launch offers will be disclosed at the official launch event on May 7.
