A 15-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district was reportedly manipulated, drugged, and coerced into participating in a crime before being subjected to gang rape, leading to rapid police intervention and the apprehension of multiple suspects.
The complaint detailed that the incident occurred on the night of April 5. The alleged perpetrator, Titu Pal, had cultivated a relationship with the minor over six months through frequent phone conversations. Despite being employed as a motorcycle mechanic in Haridwar and having a criminal record with six cases against him in various police stations, the girl was unaware of his past.
On April 5, Titu Pal purportedly met the girl during the day and administered a sedative, directing her to lace her family’s meal with it at night to render them unconscious. He also instructed her to gather valuables and money from the household before absconding with him. Subsequently, the minor allegedly mixed the sedative into the family’s dinner, causing them to lose consciousness.
Later that evening, Titu Pal arrived at her residence. The girl took gold and silver ornaments along with Rs 10,000 in cash and accompanied him. He mentioned that some acquaintances were nearby and suggested meeting them before leaving the vicinity. He took her to a room in a banquet hall close to the village, where he and three accomplices allegedly assaulted her.
Following the assault, the perpetrators fled with the stolen items. The minor managed to return home and inform her family about the harrowing experience. Upon receiving the report, law enforcement promptly responded, with senior officials arriving at the village to investigate and record statements.
A case was registered by the police based on the mother’s complaint. Titu Pal and two associates were apprehended, along with a juvenile involved in the crime. Another suspect, Ritesh, is currently evading capture, believed to be in possession of the stolen goods, prompting ongoing efforts to locate him.
The victim resides with her mother and two younger siblings, as her father is employed in Saudi Arabia.
