In a shocking development, a murder case in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, initially thought to be a result of a late-night robbery, has now been revealed as a premeditated conspiracy involving the victim’s wife and her lover. The incident unfolded in Gondikheda village, where Priyanka claimed that intruders had attacked her, killed her husband Devkrishna, and fled the scene, leaving her in distress amidst a ransacked house.
However, further investigation by the authorities exposed a meticulously planned crime scene and a deliberate murder plot. Family members of the victim disclosed that the marriage between Priyanka and Devkrishna was strained, marked by frequent conflicts. Allegations surfaced that Priyanka often belittled Devkrishna for his skin color, taunting him with statements like, “Tum kaale ho (you’re dark), I deserve better,” and seeking a divorce multiple times.
According to police findings, Priyanka had been romantically involved with Kamlesh since 2020. It is alleged that both individuals conspired to eliminate Devkrishna and then attempted to pass off the homicide as a robbery. Kamlesh reportedly recruited an accomplice named Surendra, agreeing on a contract worth approximately Rs 1 lakh for carrying out the murder.
The police claim that the plan was executed while Devkrishna was asleep to minimize any resistance. He was purportedly attacked with a sharp weapon and succumbed to his injuries immediately. To camouflage the crime, the culprits staged a fake robbery scene, creating chaos in the house and restraining Priyanka. She then raised an alarm to support the fabricated narrative.
Authorities swiftly cracked the case within 36 hours, leading to the arrest of Priyanka and Kamlesh, while efforts are ongoing to locate Surendra. Dhar Superintendent of Police Mayank Awasthi emphasized that the crime scene was manipulated to mislead the investigation, exposing a calculated conspiracy involving the wife and her accomplice.
