Tragedy struck in Rajasthan’s Alwar district as a young boy and girl tragically ended their lives by jumping in front of a train on Friday morning, confirmed authorities.
Upon receiving the distressing news, a joint team of police, Railway Police, and GRP swiftly responded to the scene. The deceased minors were swiftly removed and transported to the mortuary at Rajgarh Community Health Centre (CHC) for post-mortem examinations. Subsequently, the bodies were released to their respective families.
Authorities revealed that the two minors were romantically involved, but faced opposition from their families. Overwhelmed by the situation, they decided to take their own lives. Prior to the tragic incident, the boy shared a poignant message on social media stating, “If I suddenly pass away, don’t grieve my friend, I promised friendship, not life.”
Investigations disclosed that both minors attended the same school. The boy had recently completed Class 12, while the girl was in Class 12. A forensic team was dispatched to the hospital to gather crucial evidence.
Reportedly, the boy’s father informed railway authorities that his son left home without notifying anyone on that fateful morning, heading to Surer railway station with the girl. He confirmed that they took their lives due to their relationship issues and expressed no suspicions towards anyone.
On the other hand, the girl’s father stated to the police that his daughter was at home until 11 pm the previous night, sleeping in the same room with the family. When he woke around 5 am, she was missing. Despite frantic search efforts, her whereabouts remained unknown until it was discovered that she had left with the boy and tragically ended her life at Surer railway station.
Railway Police initiated a case based on statements from both families and has commenced a thorough investigation into the heartbreaking incident.
