A new TV judge has emerged, with big shoes to fill. CBS Media Ventures unveiled a trailer for “Adam’s Law,” a syndicated daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the son of the renowned Judge Judy. In the preview, Levy showcases a familiar no-nonsense courtroom demeanor, reminiscent of his mother’s sharp wit and zero-tolerance attitude.
Despite initial reservations, Judge Judy, at 83 years old, acknowledges her son’s talent but humorously admits she wasn’t initially keen on passing the gavel. The upcoming show, set to debut on September 14 and executive produced by Judge Judy herself, marks Levy’s foray into TV justice, following the iconic “Judge Judy” series that concluded five years ago after a successful 25-season run.
Drawing on over 25 years of legal experience, including serving as a district attorney and teaching trial advocacy, Levy emphasizes the importance of truth in court. Confident in her son’s abilities, Judge Judy predicts that “Adam’s Law” will become a top daytime program, citing his engaging personality, legal expertise, and keen eye for television.
Having previously appeared as a judge on courtroom reality shows, Levy is poised to captivate audiences with his new series. “Adam’s Law” will air on various CBS-owned stations in the U.S., including CBS LA and WCBS-TV, as well as in Canada on Citytv and Citytv+ starting September 14.
