An incident in Madhya Pradesh involving the son of an MLA has caused uproar among residents after he crashed his Mahindra Thar into a two-wheeler and pedestrians, injuring three people. Dinesh Lodhi, the son of BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi from Pichhore, was driving the vehicle when it collided with a bike carrying three individuals in Shivpuri district.
Following the accident, Lodhi shifted blame onto the victims, stating that despite honking and using a siren, they did not give way. This attitude has drawn sharp criticism and raised concerns about the misuse of power and privilege.
During a video recording post-accident, a bystander questioned Lodhi about his ability to control the vehicle, given that it had brakes. Lodhi’s response emphasized his use of the horn and siren, questioning why the victims did not move aside.
The Thar involved in the incident lacked a number plate and instead displayed “BJP MLA,” intensifying the outcry over potential political influence misuse.
One of the injured women mentioned that they were walking to school when the vehicle unexpectedly struck them from behind. Police have initiated legal proceedings against Lodhi, with further actions pending the investigation results.
The injured individuals were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while MLA Pritam Lodhi urged on social media for unbiased police action and justice for the victims.
