Six individuals lost their lives, and numerous others sustained injuries in a tragic accident involving a bus and a truck in Hapur, Uttra Pradesh, as per local law enforcement authorities. The bus, transporting passengers from a wedding event, collided with the truck, leading to the fatal incident. Promptly responding to the scene, police initiated an inquiry and provided assistance. The injured were promptly transported to a medical facility, where six succumbed to their injuries, while seven are currently receiving medical care.
The police confirmed that the truck has been cleared from the site, restoring normal traffic flow. Family members of the victims have gathered at the scene, and legal procedures are in progress. The bus was carrying a total of 12 individuals, with one yet to be identified, possibly the driver.
Similarly, on April 11, a tragic accident in Bihar’s Katihar district claimed the lives of at least 10 individuals and left around 25-30 others wounded. The incident occurred near Gerabari when a pickup vehicle collided head-on with a bus on National Highway 31, close to the Korha-Phulwaria Basgadha area.
Authorities stated that all the victims belonged to the tribal community and were on their way back to Jharkhand when the accident happened. The casualties included both male and female passengers. The pickup vehicle bore the brunt of the collision, resulting in the fatalities of all 10 occupants.
