The app is available for free to all Gemini users worldwide, but it is limited to MacBooks running macOS 15 or later.
The Gemini native app for Mac works seamlessly with a simple shortcut, Option + Space, allowing users to access the AI tool from anywhere without switching between tabs or apps. Users can share their screen or files with Gemini for real-time analysis, summarizing complex data and explaining documents with context awareness. The app integrates into various workflows, offering assistance in tasks such as fact-checking, formula calculations, image generation with Nano Banana, and video creation with Veo.
Google is expanding Gemini’s features across platforms, introducing a new “Skills” feature on Chrome to save common prompts for easier task completion. Additionally, Google is providing NEET UG mock tests on Gemini, aiding students in exam preparation. Users can access these features by typing specific commands, such as “I want to take a NEET mock exam,” to receive a full-length mock question paper. These features are currently available in English only, enhancing Gemini’s utility for users.
