Perplexity Computer operates as an agentic AI, distinguishing itself from OpenClaw by functioning entirely in the cloud for improved cybersecurity. The AI can comprehend tasks and assign them to various AI models, utilizing Anthropic’s Claude for reasoning and coding, Google’s Gemini for research, and OpenAI models for in-depth contextual understanding.
With the latest feature, users can link their savings, credit card, and loan accounts to Perplexity Computer via Plaid’s extensive network of over 12,000 financial institutions. The AI agent can then analyze spending patterns, debts, and estimate overall net worth within a centralized dashboard.
Users can leverage Perplexity Computer to create a retirement plan based on their financial status or strategize debt repayment. Previously, linking portfolios allowed the AI to provide stock market insights, but the expanded integration now covers a broader spectrum of financial aspects.
To link accounts to Perplexity Computer, users can utilize Plaid and access the portfolio page. Advanced features are available to Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers, with plans to introduce support for crypto wallets and real estate in the future.
