Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in India Gets Rs 10,000 Price Cut

TechnologySamsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in India Gets Rs 10,000 Price Cut

Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra has become more enticing for buyers in India due to recent price reductions. The device now offers a lower starting price and additional bank offers that further reduce the effective cost. Despite the availability of the newer Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the S25 Ultra still provides a robust flagship experience at a more affordable price point. Samsung has slashed the price of the S25 Ultra by Rs 10,000. The variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, previously priced at Rs 1,29,999, is now listed at Rs 1,19,999. Retailers like Vijay Sales are also providing extra bank discounts on top of this reduced price. Customers using specific bank cards such as HDFC, OneCard, and HSBC can avail discounts of up to Rs 6,000. This brings the effective price down to around Rs 1,13,999, marking it as one of the most budget-friendly prices for the device in India to date. At this price, the phone begins to offer exceptional value in the premium segment.

When looking at the specs of the S25 Ultra, it features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 5,000mAh battery, 12GB RAM, two telephoto cameras in a quad-camera setup, 8K video recording capability, a premium stylus, and a remarkable 6.8-inch AMOLED QHD+ display. Despite not being the latest model, the S25 Ultra continues to provide a seamless user experience. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it handles everyday tasks such as multitasking, app switching, and photo editing effortlessly. Gaming performance is also solid, with demanding games running smoothly at stable frame rates.

The display remains a standout feature of the device, boasting a large AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The screen offers sharp visuals, vibrant colors, and high brightness levels suitable for outdoor use. Additionally, the anti-reflective coating aids in reducing glare.

Battery life is reliable with the 5,000mAh battery lasting around 17 hours with mixed usage. The quad-camera setup with dual telephoto lenses provides versatility in capturing detailed shots across various lighting conditions. The phone also supports 8K video recording, enhancing its flagship appeal.

In comparison to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the S25 Ultra offers a complete flagship experience, including the S Pen which remains useful for note-taking and productivity tasks. While the newer model brings enhancements such as faster charging, an improved processor focusing on AI tasks, a sleeker design, and camera system upgrades, it comes at a higher starting price of Rs 1,39,999. For many users, the upgrades in the S26 Ultra may not justify the extra cost. The absence of a charger in the box for the S25 Ultra means users may need to purchase an adapter separately.

Priced at around Rs 1.14 lakh currently, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out as a well-rounded premium smartphone. While potential future festive sales could offer better deals, the current pricing already makes it a compelling choice for buyers seeking a high-end Samsung device without the full flagship price tag.
