Redmi has unveiled the Redmi K90 Max in China, expanding its K90 series lineup that was initially introduced in October last year. The Redmi K90 series already includes the Redmi K90 Pro Max and the standard Redmi K90, both running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, the newly released Redmi K90 Max features the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, a significant departure within the series. It is available in various colors and configurations.
The Redmi K90 Max boasts a 6.83-inch M10 display with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,772 pixels, offering a high 165Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The device also supports a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate.
In terms of camera capabilities, the phone sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor featuring OIS and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, it is equipped with a 20-megapixel front camera.
Under the hood, the Redmi K90 Max is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It includes a D2 graphics chip to enhance gaming performance and an advanced cooling system that incorporates a 6,000 sq mm ice-sealed circulating pump and over 12,000 sq mm graphite area.
To ensure long-lasting usage, the Redmi K90 Max is equipped with a massive 8,550mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It operates on Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and holds IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Redmi K90 Max is priced starting at CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 43,873) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM and 256GB model are priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 47,994), while the 12GB RAM and 512GB variant costs CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 50,730). For higher-end options, the 16GB RAM and 512GB model are priced at CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 54,852), and the top-tier 16GB RAM and 1TB variant is available at CNY 4,699 (around Rs. 64,454). The smartphone comes in three color options: Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue.
