“Apple Teases New Glowing Siri Redesign for WWDC 2026”

Technology"Apple Teases New Glowing Siri Redesign for WWDC 2026"

Apple is reportedly developing a new version of Siri, the virtual assistant, set to be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026. A recent hint from Apple’s teaser for the event suggests changes to Siri’s visual appearance, with a potential new glow effect. This redesign could feature a glare effect similar to the harsh lighting seen on the WWDC 2026 logo.

The anticipated design change may introduce a revamped look for Siri, possibly adding or replacing elements of its current design. The teaser hints at a similar glare effect on Apple’s website, resembling the photography technique of halation, where intense overexposure distorts colors into darker areas of an image.

Apple has a history of dropping hints through teasers, like using a 3D glass logo in yellow and green for a special event earlier this year. The new Siri design is expected to incorporate this glare effect within the Dynamic Island interface, displaying text like “Search or Ask” with a glowing outline. While some features may be exclusive to newer iPhone models with Dynamic Island, older models could also see similar visual effects.

The updated Siri is rumored to leverage Google Gemini models for enhanced capabilities in handling complex tasks and queries. Additionally, Apple may introduce a dedicated Siri app with iOS 27, potentially transforming the virtual assistant into a chatbot.

The new Siri is likely to debut at WWDC 2026 in June, with the iOS 27 update anticipated to roll out alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models and the iPhone Fold in September. This update is part of Apple’s broader release strategy for its latest operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and watchOS 27.
