Despite his significant price tag, Green has only managed 56 runs in five innings, playing in the middle order despite being accustomed to the top-order batting position in Australia.
Former Australian captain Aaron Finch highlighted that Green’s best position would be as an opener and emphasized that KKR’s struggles run deep due to several top-order batters in the team. Finch also noted that Green’s limited recent T20 cricket experience has impacted his performance, causing him to search for the best T20 execution strategies.
Green has faced criticism not only for his batting but also for his bowling performance, managing just one wicket in five innings at an average of 58 and conceding runs at a high rate of 14.5 per over. Finch suggested a bowling strategy for Green, advising him to focus on bowling most of his overs in the middle phase of the game.
