A startup named Prophetic AI claims to offer wearable devices, Dual and Phase, that can potentially influence your dreams. These wearables, resembling headbands with attached wires, aim to induce lucid dreaming where individuals are conscious of their dream state and can manipulate their dreams. Prophetic AI explains that the devices emit safe ultrasonic energy to the prefrontal cortex, stimulating the frontoparietal network that is typically inactive during dreaming, hence enhancing dream lucidity.
Additionally, the Prophetic Pulse includes integrated electroencephalogram (EEG) sensors to monitor brain activity. By leveraging transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS) and artificial intelligence (AI) to target the prefrontal cortex during REM sleep, the devices purportedly facilitate lucid dreaming, enhance dream recall, vividness, and control. However, the effectiveness of this technology is yet to be scientifically verified.
The Prophetic Dual is priced at $449, set to be available for shipping by the year-end, while the Prophetic Phase will retail at $1,299 and is expected to ship in mid-2027. This innovative approach to dream manipulation combines cutting-edge technology with neuroscience, offering a unique perspective on the potential of wearable devices in altering dream experiences.
