Despite battling chronic kidney disease, Snook had survived previous health scares. However, a sudden potassium buildup caused his heart to stop, resulting in kidney failure. The timely CPR intervention by a stranger extended Snook’s life briefly, enabling paramedics to transfer him to a hospital for further care. This extra time allowed Snook’s loved ones to gather around him, offering warmth and love before his passing three days later, just shy of his upcoming birthday.
Driven by a desire to locate the anonymous CPR provider, Snook’s family initiated a search through a community Facebook post. Victoria Lee, another stepdaughter, expressed profound gratitude for the stranger’s act, emphasizing the invaluable gift of time that allowed the family to express their final farewells. While their social media outreach has yet to yield results, Poirier remains hopeful of personally thanking the Good Samaritan for their selfless gesture.
